February Dinner Meeting Speaker

The guest speaker at this month’s dinner meeting was Laura Giovanetti, the project coordinator of the Regional Assistive Technology Center at Cooperative Education in Trumbull, CT. Laura spoke about how advances in technology have provided new methods for helping children with autism better understand social communication. She introduced the Lions to Milo, a humanoid robot that can talk, walk, and model facial expressions. The presentation was both informative and fun. The Lions thank Laura for making the trip from Connecticut to share her work with our Club.
